Refund Policy
Last updated: 2026-08-26
14 days, no questions asked
If you bought Holdbound (the US $29 purchase, or a US $15 renewal of the update window) and you want your money back for any reason, ask within 14 days of payment and I will refund you in full. You do not need to give a reason.
The 30-day free trial exists so that you can test every feature before paying; the 14-day refund window is there in case something still goes wrong after you do.
How to ask
Email support@holdbound.com with:
- your order reference (shown on the order page and in the license email), or the TRON transaction hash of your payment;
- the word "refund".
That's it. I reply within 48 hours.
How the refund is paid
- Payments are made in USDT on the TRON network (TRC20). Refunds are sent in USDT (TRC20) back to the address the payment came from. I cannot refund to a different address, a different network, or in a different currency, because I have no way to verify that another address is yours.
- If you paid from an exchange account and that exchange does not accept deposits to the same address you withdrew from, tell me in your email; I will sort out a safe way to return the funds, but it will take longer than the standard timeline below.
- The refund amount is the USDT amount you actually paid. Network fees for the refund transfer are paid by me. I do not compensate for exchange-rate changes, exchange withdrawal fees you paid, or fees charged by your wallet.
Timeline
Refunds are sent within 5 business days of your request being confirmed. Transfers on TRON usually arrive within minutes of being sent. If you have not seen the funds 7 business days after my confirmation email, reply to that email and I will send you the transaction hash.
What happens to your license and data
When a refund is sent, the license key is revoked and the app returns to read-only mode (you can still view and export everything). Your data stays on your computer — a refund never touches it.
Paid the wrong amount?
The checkout shows an exact USDT amount. Blockchain payments cannot be adjusted after sending, so:
- Underpaid (for example, your exchange deducted a withdrawal fee from the amount): the order page shows the remaining difference. Send the difference to the same address and the license is issued automatically once the total is reached. If you prefer to cancel instead, email me and I will return what you sent, minus nothing.
- Overpaid: email me with the order reference. You can choose either a refund of the difference (same rules as above) or to have it credited toward extending your update window.
- Paid to an expired order or with the wrong token/network: email me the transaction hash. If the funds arrived in my wallet I will match them manually and either issue the license or return them. If you sent a token or network I don't use and the funds did not arrive in my wallet, I cannot recover them; please check the address and network carefully before sending.
After 14 days
After the 14-day window I don't offer refunds, with one exception: if a documented bug makes the software unusable for you and I cannot fix it within a reasonable time, write to me and I will find a fair solution.
Renewals are not refunded pro rata for unused time after the 14-day window. There is nothing to lose by letting one lapse: the versions you already have stay yours and keep working, so an unwanted renewal is simply not repeated.
Your legal rights
Nothing here limits any refund or cancellation right you have under the consumer law of the country where you live.
